About Alice
Since being elected as Councillor for Springvale Central Ward in 2024, I feel honoured by the trust residents place in me.
Springvale is a vibrant cultural destination and we can all be proud of what we’ve built together. I am committed to helping our community continue to grow and remain a friendly, welcoming place where everyone has opportunities and feels included. I support local shops and businesses, encourage safe and lively shopping areas, promote sport and recreation for young people and work hard to improve our public spaces with cleaner streets, better lighting, public art and well maintained parks.
I am also very involved in community events and cultural celebrations, especially within our Vietnamese community. I help organise Lunar New Year, cultural fundraisers, festivals and other activities that bring people together and celebrate our city’s multicultural spirit.
I came to Australia in the late 1990s as an international student on an Australian Government scholarship. I studied Architecture and Building Design, and Greater Dandenong became the place where I began my education, my career and my new life. Later, I opened my own architecture and building design business in Springvale before moving into real estate, where I have now worked for ten years as a Director.
Outside of work, I volunteer and coach at the Waverley Judo Club and previously served as Secretary of Judo Victoria Inc. I am passionate about supporting women in sport and enjoy helping with community sports programs and events.
I am grateful every day to serve this diverse and welcoming community. I look forward to working with my fellow Councillors to make Greater Dandenong a place where everyone feels proud, included and supported.
