Arts Local offers unique public exhibition spaces across Greater Dandenong. These public sites provide artists with opportunities to present digital, 2D and small-scale 3D artworks, engage diverse audiences, and bring creativity into everyday community spaces across the municipality.

Greater Dandenong invites artists of all backgrounds and career levels to submit an Expression of Interest to exhibit in one of our outdoor galleries in 2027-28 as part of our Arts Local program. This program supports artists in realising bold, engaging, and site-responsive artworks that reflect the diversity, stories, and creativity of our community. Selected artists will showcase their work in highly visible public spaces, reaching broad and varied audiences beyond traditional gallery settings.

We encourage proposals across all mediums, from emerging voices to established practitioners, including individuals, collectives, and community-led creative projects. The program offers professional development support, curatorial guidance, and a platform to expand your practice at scale.

You should consider applying if you are:

☐ An artist at any stage of your career — emerging, mid-career or established
☐ A creative practitioner working in 2D, 3D, written word, and digital
☐ Looking to share your work with diverse audiences beyond traditional gallery settings
