A Journey to Work – Stories of Strength, Resilience and Opportunity
Join us in celebrating the journeys of migrant women as they navigate pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and belonging.
Behind every job is a journey — one shaped by resilience, courage, and determination. A Journey to Work brings together women from diverse cultural backgrounds to share their personal experiences of finding work, rebuilding careers, and overcoming barriers in a new country.
Through storytelling, discussion, and connection, this event aims to honour these journeys while fostering understanding, support, and opportunity. Through powerful storytelling from SisterWorks speakers, you’ll hear firsthand experiences of courage, determination, and success—from women who have overcome significant barriers to build meaningful careers and new lives in Australia.
