Join us on Friday 17 April as we celebrate Muderra Way, the first Bunurong place-naming and large-scale Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders' peoples public art getaway in Greater Dandenong.
Muderra Way connects Leonard Avenue and Ian Street under the train lines in Noble Park.
Its story was shaped through a strong partnership between the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation (BLCAC) and Greater Dandenong City Council. Together, we worked to bring Culture, language and stories into the space.
The project includes a large artwork painted onto the road, four colourful pillar murals and special signs that share Bunurong language, stories and audio guides. All of these features were created by First Nations artists and through careful cultural consultation with BLCAC.
If you require additional assistance to participate, please get in contact with us.
