Discover the stories that shape our community in Extraordinary Stories: Collection Highlights, a vibrant new exhibition celebrating people, places and events from the Greater Dandenong Civic and Cultural Collection.
Featuring 20 remarkable stories, the exhibition brings together objects, photographs and personal voices that reveal how everyday lives contribute to an extraordinary, shared history.
From deep connections to Bunurong Country, to journeys of migration, working lives, creativity and civic action, Extraordinary Stories highlights resilience, diversity and belonging. Visitors of all ages are invited to explore the memories held in familiar places, meet the makers and community leaders who inspire us, and reflect on the stories we carry forward.
With hands‑on activities, family‑friendly programs and workshops throughout the school holidays, this is a chance to experience Greater Dandenong’s history in a new and meaningful way.
Step inside and discover the extraordinary in the everyday.
