Nominations are now open for the 2027 Greater Dandenong Australia Day Awards, recognising the outstanding individuals and groups who help make our community a better place.
The awards celebrate local people and organisations whose dedication, leadership and service have made a positive impact across Greater Dandenong.
Nominations are encouraged for those making a difference through community service, volunteering, environmental sustainability, arts and culture, sport and inclusion.
Past Young Leader of the Year recipient, Atifa, said it was an honour to be recognised for their work in the community.
"Not only is it such an honour and a privilege to receive this award, but I also feel so happy that I have made a difference and can continue to make a difference to my community.”
Award categories for 2027 include:

- Young Leader of the Year

- Community Group of the Year

- Arts and Creativity
- Diversity and Inclusion
